Vegan Shrimp & Grits

I grew up in a very small town called St. George, SC. Back in the 1980’s, it was noticed that per capita, St. George residents consumed more grits that anywhere else in the country. Needless to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE GRITS! Ha! Being from the Lowcountry, I’m also no strange to shrimp and grits so it was only natural, that at some point, I’d be “veganizing” this recipe.

Vegan Cheeseburger Salad

This vegan cheeseburger salad was created as a non-vegan recipe about 2 summers ago, believe it or not. I was sitting at home one Saturday with my mom when I came up with this idea. These days, my goal is to make oil free recipes as often as possible or… Continue reading Vegan Lasagna

Spicy BBQ Cauliflower Wings

The Best CRISPY Onion Rings

At least 10 years ago, I watched Emeril Lagasse one day on a cooking show and he prepared some of the most beautiful onion rings. Prior to then, I’d always purchased them. Vegan Chopped Steak & Gravy

Growing up in the Low Country near Charleston, SC, meals were often based on an entrée with the understanding that rice would be the starch more often than not.
