How to make 2 Minute Nice Cream
I honestly don’t remember how I started making Nice Cream. I do remember it was years ago when I bought my very first Nutribullet. I’ve upgraded to a Ninja because me and my frozen bananas have burned through at lease 3 or four nutribullets since then. It was intriguing when I first noticed the soft serve ice cream produced by the frozen bananas so it was only natural that the recipe creator in me start playing around. I bought a yonanas machine, but retired it pretty quickly because it was more of a hassle than anything else. My Nutribullet concoctions went from smoothies to smoothie bowls to straight out Banana Ice Cream with a a variety of toppings. Somewhere down the line, someone affectionately started calling these types of treats, Nice Cream. Isn’t this a lovely story?
At any rate, as a forever lover of Ice Cream, the ability to make dairy free ice cream that tastes absolutely amazing has been a true blessing in my life. If you want the ability to make this decadent treat for yourself or your loved ones, do like I do and make bananas a part of your regular shopping trips.
Using very ripe bananas is key in making delicious homemade dairy free ice cream. This way, there’s no added sugars and it just tastes so friggin sweet and yummy. If the bananas aren’t ripe when you first bring them home, simply sit them on the counter for a few days and when they’re at the peak of ripeness, simply peel them and pop them in a zip lock bag and place them in the freezer. Trust me when I tell you there’s at least 20 frozen bananas in my freezer AT ALL TIMES!
