When I first considered creating the recipe for these spicy bbq cauliflower wings, it was with a bit of hesitation. The cauliflower wing craze started a few years back and because I wasn’t a huge fan of cauliflower, I missed the boat, or so I thought. In my mind, I thought there’s NO WAY does that taste good and there’s NO WAY that cauliflower can remotely taste like chicken. Boy was I ever wrong. As I prepared this collection of Soul Food Sunday Dinner recipes, my goal was to share the flavors of the my favorite Sunday dinner meal. Rice, BBQ chicken, Collard greens, candied yams and mac & cheese was heaven on a plate for me. These Spicy BBQ Cauliflower wings are the perfect counterpart to my new VEGAN soul food Sunday Diner

In my usual fashion when trying someone else’s recipe, I ultimately knew I’d give it my own spin, but hats off to the folks over at Hot for Food. Their Youtube video and recipe is probably the most popular there is. This recipe for Spicy BBQ Cauliflower wings is SO EASY, you may want to make these tonight. They start dipped in a simple batter and roasted on parchment paper. After coming to a gorgeous golden crisp, they get dipped again in my special sauce and roasted again for the finish. I can pretty much promise you’ll they’ll be your new favorite thing. I think I’m gonna have some this weekend with a plate full of homemade french fries.
